It appears that the person who Robert was working for (and also was ratted out by) has fled the country. Apparently Edwin Pena had his girlfriend Andrea put her parents property up for sale so that he may get out for $100,000.00. After getting out of the prison, he fled the country. Chances are he is probably in Venezuela or some sort of other foreign country with no extradite laws.
This is not the best thing, since now Robert will be tried alone and without anyone to testify against. But, as Information week stated, it will look on Robert’s side, since he not the one fleeing.
